'Beauty is a Process'
Hello and thank you for taking the time to learn about our services and how they can benefit you. We stress that there is usually no 'silver bullet' for health and wellness but there is: drinking more water. It is that simple. As well we emphasize that 'Beauty is a Process of Progression Not Perfection'. If you visit the gym once a week or once a month, your results will vary. This means it usually takes 2-3 weeks for the body to create new collagen or repair itself when creating new skin, so one shouldn't rush into beauty treatments that are 'hard and fast' on the skin. We are excited to work with you and help reach your goals but we try to set expectations first.
1.) Please book your own appointments using our Book Online appointment system. Click Here to do so. We have everyone use this system because it allows us to streamline our operation and give you 100% control when you book your appointment time.
2.) Understand that realistically helping you create a 'new you' will take time. We ask for an initial 100 days to start. We also ask that you take ownership of your pre and post-treatments. We offer advice and do so to protect you and your skin.
3.) We want to be realistic. The biophysics of your skin and body are different than anyone else's and so will your results. If we are trying to help remove hair through laser hair removal, smooth out stretch-marks or reduce fat - all of these processes are affected and influenced by your diet, medications, hormones, age, daily exercise and many other reasons why it can work really well or not as hoped. These things take time: patience, low stress, good nutrition, exercise and getting plenty of sleep and water are paramount to your success.
4.) It's up to you. We are here to help guide you along your beauty journey but ultimately it is up to you when it comes to following our advice. We are here to help. Yet, the really heavy lifting allows you to utilize any information we offer. Like drinking water, simply walking each day for exercise, eating healthy whole foods like vegetables and salads, maintaining a low-stress environment, plenty of sleep and enough rest, and some sun but not too much. Having monthly facials and beauty treatments offers iterative change over time. If one goes to the gym once a month versus one a week, so should you beauty regimen allow for dynamic results.
What is your skin type?
Here's an easy way to understand your skin type for IPL photofacial or laser hair removal. Every person's skin is identified by your family's genetic background The Fitzpatrick skin type scale helps to identify your skin type by the amount of pigment or color is in your skin in relation to where your ancestors came from.
Generally it is considered:
Fitz 1: Irish
Fitz 2: Eastern European or German
Fitz 3: Mediterranean, Greek or Italian
Fitz 4: Hispanic
Fitz 5: Asian* (North Asian China or Southern Asia India)
Fitz 6: African American*
* Fitz 5 & 6 are not recommended to receive photo-facials. The amount of pigment within that skin's chromosphere has too much pigment and is potentially susceptible to potential burns.Yet laser hair removal is safe for Fitzpatrick 1 - 6.
What is your body type?
We all have different body shapes. There are three basic human body types: the endomorph, the mesomorph, and the ectomorph. Through age and exercise routines you're not bound to one category or the other. Your diet, lifestyle, genetics, history, etc. all play a role in how you look, and you can definitely change it over time.
An ectomorph tends to be thin, and can struggle to gain weight as body fat or muscle. They can eat large quantities of food and look the same, while tending to have a leaner build, longer limbs, and small muscle bellies.
The mesomorph tends to have wider shoulders, narrower waist, thinner joints, and rounded muscle bellies. Mesomorph have a natural tendency to be fit and relatively muscular.
The endomorph tends to gain weight and keep it on, with a build that is a little wider around the hips and possibly shorter limbs. They often struggle to gain musicle without significant amounts of accompanying body fat.
