When we eat the right foods our body's digestion and normal organ functions are unhindered by chemicals that create inflammation. Eating 'acidic' foods throws off our PH balance (PH stands for potential hydrogen). By eating alkalizing foods we are able to lower or maintain an even homeostasis. Eating for essential minerals and vitamins should be how our diet is based so that assimilation and digestion of food can add health benefits not tax the body. Many of our foods today taste good but only because they have been engineered to 'taste good' but provide unhealthy elements of sugar, salt, fat or heat of inflammation; as most fast or processed foods can unfortunately offer. Try including alkalized foods with your meals helps to maintain good digestion and lower potential inflammation.
