A little bit of sun is healthy for you, especially in the early morning or early evening time. Truth is our bodies need vitamin D and the essential energy the sun gives us. We are not advocating spending hours and hours in the heat and sun unprotected. Especially after some of the treatments we offer like IPL, Chemical Peels or Microneedling, but in small healthy doses we do recommend getting at least 10-15 minutes of sun at least every couple days. The best time for doing this would be before 11am or after 4pm when the sun has peaked and its intensity can be less.
Heat aside, keep that water flowing, and plenty of sunblock with at least an SPF 30. Any SPF above 30 is helpful, but unnecessary as you should reapply at least every 2-3 hours, especially if you sweat or are in the water. We also recommend using sunblock with zinc oxide in it. This is a thicker sunscreen that also protects against the heat exposure as well sun.
